Welcome Fellow Memory Keeper!

I’m the family photo taker and memory keeper for my family. Sadly, my mom passed in 1986.  It was not until 2008, that I discovered there was only one childhood photograph of my mom. Plus it was a school class photo.

Also in 2008, I became a Certified Professional Photo Organizer to learn the best practices and options to help people preserve and share their memories.

Before my dad passed away in 2009, I asked him about his life. Using his answers and wonderful heritage photos, I created a cherished photo book entitled, “Remember Me Like This”.

Even today, I still hear his laughter as he tells me his favourite funny story for this book. There were lots of tears of joy and sorrow during this interview. But I would do it all over again? Absolutely! Life story books are a wonderful family treasure for everyone.

My discoveries

Over the years, I have seen so many changes and not all of them are good but some are awesome!

Here is a recap of some of the challenges and changes

  • years of photos lost due to a broken phone or computer crash

  • our phones are now our cameras, so now we have thousands on our phone

  • damaged print photos can now be repaired with amazing results

  • most photo storage companies offer only temporary storage with ongoing monthly/yearly payments

  • very few retail photo stores offer in-store photo printing services

  • DVDs are now outdated technology

  • only 2% of people have their photos organized

  • technology allows us to share our photos easily but your privacy might be at risk

Technology has advanced significantly since I started back in 2008. Some tasks are much easier but now different challenges have appeared. It is predicted that the most photographed generation will have fewer photos to share with future family members. With a click of a mouse button, thousands of photos can be lost forever.

Does this scare me?

It sure does! I want my family to have a wealth of amazing memories to share and enjoy in the future.

My mission was to research and find the best, easiest and long-term solution to preserve my family memories.

I found a complete memory keeping solution, which I would love to share with you!!
